Policy

All purchases on Painters are final. Because we begin delivering your advertising services immediately upon payment, we are unable to offer refunds. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.

01 Overview

Painters operates as a paid online advertising directory for painting contractors and painting businesses serving the United States market. When you purchase a listing on our platform, you are purchasing an advertising service — not a physical product.

Because advertising services are initiated immediately upon successful payment, all sales are final. This policy is governed by the laws of the United States and is consistent with standard practices for digital advertising services.

Before completing your purchase, you will have the opportunity to review your listing details and the full terms of service. We encourage you to do so carefully. By completing payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Refund Policy.

02 No-Refund Policy

All payments made to Painters are non-refundable. This applies to all listing tiers — including Free upgrades to Premium — and any additional services purchased through the platform.

The reason for this policy is straightforward: upon receiving your payment, we immediately begin performing services on your behalf, including:

  • Listing publication: Your business page is created and made publicly accessible on the platform within your city.
  • SEO indexing: We submit your listing for search engine indexing and begin on-platform SEO optimization to help homeowners find you.
  • Directory placement: Your painting business is categorized by specialty (interior, exterior, commercial, cabinet refinishing, etc.) and placed within the city directory structure.
  • Profile setup: Your business profile, contact details, phone number, website link, and associated content are configured and live.
  • Premium features (if applicable): Featured top placement, premium badge, business dashboard, and review system are activated immediately.
Because these actions are taken immediately and cannot be undone, no refunds, credits, or partial reimbursements will be issued under any circumstances — including if you change your mind, no longer wish to advertise, or decide to use a different platform.

03 What You Receive

To ensure you know exactly what you are purchasing before payment, here is a summary of what each listing purchase includes:

  • A dedicated business page on Painters, publicly accessible and visible to all directory visitors and search engines.
  • City placement within the directory for your specific metro area, categorized under your painting specialties.
  • Search engine optimization work to help your listing appear in organic search results for relevant painting queries in your city.
  • Direct contact visibility — your phone number and website link displayed prominently to homeowners and property managers.
  • 365-day active listing from the date of payment, as stated on our Pricing page.

Premium listing ($249/year) additionally includes: featured placement at the top of your city page, a premium badge, dedicated business dashboard, customer reviews and star ratings, and performance analytics.

Features are as described on our Pricing page at the time of your purchase. Features may change for future purchases but will not be retroactively removed from active paid listing periods.

04 Payment Processing

All payments on Painters are processed securely by WayForPay, a certified payment service provider. We accept the following payment methods:

We do not store your card details on our servers. All payment data is handled exclusively by WayForPay in accordance with PCI DSS standards. Your payment is encrypted and processed securely.

Once a transaction is completed and confirmed by WayForPay, your listing is activated and your business becomes visible in the directory. A payment confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided at checkout.

05 Disputes & Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating any dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through our support team.

If you initiate an unauthorized chargeback for a transaction that was legitimately processed in accordance with this policy, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or remove your business listing from the directory.
  • Dispute the chargeback with your card issuer by providing evidence of service delivery, including listing activation logs and timestamps.
  • Restrict future access to Painters advertising services.

Chargebacks filed without first contacting us are considered a violation of our Terms of Service.

If you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate transaction — please contact us immediately. Verified duplicate charges will be refunded in full.

06 Listing Errors

If there is an error in your published listing caused by us — for example, incorrect information was published that you did not submit, or a feature included in your paid tier was not activated — we will correct the issue promptly at no charge.

Errors of this nature do not entitle you to a refund but will be remediated as follows:

  • Content errors (wrong business name, address, phone, or specialty published): corrected within 3 business days of a verified report.
  • Missing Premium features (top placement, badge, dashboard, or reviews not activated): activated within 2 business days of a verified report.
  • Technical downtime affecting your listing's visibility: compensated with an equivalent listing time extension at our discretion.

Errors in your listing caused by information you submitted incorrectly are your responsibility to flag. We offer one complimentary correction per listing period for such situations.

07 Cancellations

You may request cancellation of your listing at any time. However, cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for any portion of the purchased listing period, whether used or remaining.

Upon cancellation:

  • Your listing will be removed from the public directory within 5 business days.
  • No further charges will be made. Premium listings are billed annually — there is no mid-year recurring charge to cancel.
  • Your listing data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted upon request.

If your listing was purchased as a recurring annual plan, you may cancel renewal at any time before the next billing date. The current active period will not be refunded and your listing will remain live until the expiry date of the paid period.

When contacting us regarding a payment issue, please have your payment confirmation email and the email address used at checkout ready to help us assist you as quickly as possible.
